It is for sure that all of you could get a strong smell of cannabis on the Inauguration Day. The reason behind this is to legalize cannabis by handing it out to people free of cost on the Grand Inauguration Day sponsored by the DC Cannabis Coalition.
This inauguration day was all set on the west side of Dupont Circle on 20th of January 2017. There was also a march, which was arranged for the marchers. These marchers walked towards the National Mall from where the real protest began.
The main reason for handing over the joints free of cost was to ensure that it’s time for cannabis to go legal around the world. Founder of DCMJ, Adam Eidinger says that with this act cannabis would definitely become legal at the federal level. Initiative 71 passed in the district when they were helped by a group of D.C. residents. These initiatives 71 will make it legal to possess 2 ounces or less of marijuana for growing it or for giving it, but yet not legal to sell it.
Eidinger said –“We are looking at a guy who as recently as April said that they are going to enforce federal law on marijuana all over the country. He said marijuana is dangerous.”
As long as cannabis is given by the D.C land, great marijuana giveaway is considered to be legal.

Another fact is that 1 in 5 Americans live in a place where marijuana could be accessed legally. This shows that a majority of people could access this drug even without a recommendation letter from the doctor.
Eidinger also told that it would become a civil disobedience if they tell people that they had to arrest those who smoke on the federal property as the place National Mall is for protest.
Certainly, this would not be an anti-Trump event, says Eidinger. He also feels that the ceremony won’t be disrupted by any means and all are welcome to attend the ceremony.
With this, it seems like there won’t be any problem with the new administration in the DC Cannabis Coalition, says Eidinger. He further added – “If there are people from Texas, some Cowboys fan, who is walking down the street in a cowboy hat and a big fur coat and he walks up to our demonstration, I want him to feel welcome coming to D.C.”
