Willy Nelson and His Pot

After a lifetime spent defending the health benefits of cannabis, Willy Nelson (the legendary American country singer) have decided to enter the market with his own chain of marijuana shops. The project has already begun and the first shop should open in 2016, unless some kind of unforeseen circumstances comes around.

Truth be told, everything started in 2010, when Willy Nelson was arrested for carrying, guess what, marijuana. From that moment on, he began to fight. The singer created the lobby “Tax it, regulate it and legalize it!”and became actively involved in the legalization movement.

Now, back to project. If everything goes according to the plan, the first shop will open in Colorado, where cannabis has already been legalized. Then, the chain will expand in all the other states where recreational marijuana is – and will be – legal: a very ambitious plan, for a very ambitious person. The author of “always on my mind” recently turned 81, but he is not alone in his new adventure: his family will be with him. Nelson and his family not only believe that cannabis should be legal and regulated, but they also share a very strong set of ecological and ethical values. That’s why the singer is planning on creating a chain of shops that are both eco-friendly and ethical.

Willy Nelson’s project is just another proof of what Colorado has become in the last two years. After pot became legal in 2014, in fact, the state turned into the point of reference for many, honest businessmen and pot-lovers who have always wanted to invest in a legal cannabis market. Thanks to all this, the state is richer (much richer), the economy is growing, citizens and businessmen are happier and organized crime lost a lot of money. Plus, in case you were wondering, something else happened (or didn’t happen) in Colorado: the number of cannabis smokers didn’t actually grow, just like the number of cannabis-related accidents didn’t actually increase.

This is a wonderful case study for all those who believe cannabis should be legal: the actual proof that legalization, if treated correctly, can truly be a life changer for an incredible number of people, including normal citizens, growers and businessmen, without forgetting all the patients who suffer from “incurable” diseases and need medical cannabis to live better and/or survive. Everyone should have the right to buy good quality seeds (like those you can find here http://greenhouseseeds.nl/) and experience the benefits of legal cannabis.

Don’t you agree?
