England Chases Marijuana Just Like America Did!
Why the world is so much hooked on marijuana forever? Recreational use across the world surges from traditionally liberal countries like Holland to the four American states that have completely legalized marijuana besides the 23 that gave the green signal to medical purposes. Have you heard the latest from England? Can you imagine 150,000 Brits signing a petition to say ‘yes’ to marijuana? The lawmakers could hardly look the other way with such massive support to recreational marijuana! In fact 100,000 signatures would require government response and weed brought in something like 158,000. The petition demands that production and sale be permitted by law for recreational marijuana and that is exactly what youth all over are craving for though marijuana users in older groups also exist. Some people believe that medical marijuana also has the same purpose of enabling recreational use.
The marijuana scene in Colorado
The world knows what happened in Colorado of course. Along with three other American states, Colorado Okayed all uses of marijuana, medical and recreational. Now the problem is consumption. People can get touchy about something they do not know much about. Besides, cannabis has a mystic reputation and people do not want to mess around with it. You cannot consume marijuana at the sales centers according to law nor can it be consumed in public places. So now you have the clubs and bars to accommodate marijuana users and abusers too perhaps. Yet mixing up pot with alcohol may deliver the wrong message and probably users would be free to bring their own stuff to bars and clubs in the future. The problem is its use that requires some expert handling!
What is California saying about the pot question?
We all know which way the wind is blowing at least in USA where more and more states are expected to go pot recreational in addition to medical. California lieutenant governor authorized 58 suggestions for making pot legal with intentions like preventing illegalities and protecting children from misuse. The legal age of course for substances like tobacco, alcohol and marijuana is 21 years for both the sexes. The guidelines include limited advertising. Is the pot question in California going to lead to a gold rush? That is the million dollar question everybody is worried about knowing well the huge revenues that legal marijuana would generate. But then all those revenues are being lost to the illegal market that spans the world.
