Marijuana controversies refuse to die down no matter what
Some debates reach no conclusion like the present obsession with aliens and UFOS. In spite of the wonder medical treatment that marijuana has turned out to be for seizures for instance, abuse is the problem. It is the law that played spoilsport for so many decades and turned innocent users into criminals liable to be stoned to death or hanged. More humane methods of punishment would be fines and jail terms. The clash of values appears to make no sense but then what about the differences of clothing of the Muslim female and the American?
A great money spinner as good as gold
Can you imagine that Colorado has generated 300 million dollars in six months from combined medical and recreational marijuana? Dollars certainly talk and many currencies have been talking the marijuana language in mighty terms globally on the streets, across the borders and in the mountains where the weed grows. Yet the whole world continues to make a big fuss about it. Maybe laws will slowly change across the continents and that would be a great blessing indeed especially for the sick that truly deserve its blessings.
What are the marijuana controversies?
- Most people are still scared of that evil reputation of centuries
- Nobody seems to have accurate knowledge of the plant
- Official documents do not reflect the diseases it cures
- School children abuse marijuana freely
- Marijuana is connected with crime and evil
- People do not understand how to obtain it illegally
Marijuana research is more concerned with addictions
It does appear that even research wishes to give marijuana a bad name. A great majority of government funding studied abuse and addiction. A small percentage of funds went towards the study of potential cures for disease and the impact upon the brain. The management of pain is one certainty through marijuana just like narcotics have been used for a long time. Pharmaceutical companies have stepped up their research and would soon be launching medications based on cannabis into the market. We have much to look forward to.
Entrepreneurs have the last laugh
The lucky guys who entered the marijuana business in the wake of the liberal policies may have risked it initially. Yet the scale of profits does match all the risks undertaken. The vast production of marijuana under high powered lighting to increase production can well be imagined. Demand cannot be imagined either though many speak in hushed whispers. Yet the hundreds of dispensaries are living proof that marijuana sells like anything.
