A New Research Brings A New Perspective To The Table
Many cannabis users have been discussing this for a very long time, and they have been asking for an official research to clarify this issue, while those who don’t like pot have been quite uncertain about asking for scientific data. Now, both parties have the chance to examine a study published in the prestigious academic journal called Scientific Reports (part of the Nature publishing group) that finally compares the dangers related to the consumption of marijuana, alcohol and tobacco.
This research greatly challenges the beliefs spread so far by conservative institutions via a carefully planned propaganda. Among other things, this propaganda has managed to convince people that cannabis is a “dangerous” drug that should be illegal, while substances that really are dangerous – like tobacco and alcohol – should remain on the market.
The research identifies the risks associated with alcohol, which are widely underestimated by both legislative institutions and common knowledge. As a matter of fact, if we consider tobacco, cannabis and alcohol, the latter is by far the most dangerous and it is actually potentially lethal. Alcohol can greatly damage our body, it is known to be incredibly addictive, and it is dangerous also for those who do not use it – just think about car accidents, domestic violence, etc.
Tobacco, which is now widely regarded as “bad”, is not as bad as alcohol, and therefore has not been listed under the high risk category, but this is not a harmless substance, as we all know.
More importantly, however, the study suggests that the risks generally associated with cannabis are greatly overestimated and overrepresented. In reality, cannabis is the least harmful substance among those considered by the scientists: it doesn’t necessarily damage the body, and it isn’t addictive (generally speaking).
The conclusion of the research contrasts enormously with the justifications behind the laws of many states. The researchers recommend a political change, claiming it would be wiser to move towards cannabis legalization. If politicians are really interested in protecting their citizens, in fact, the first thing that should be considered dangerous is alcohol, quickly followed by tobacco.
It will take time, but the latest trends indicate legalization is becoming more and more acceptable, even among those who do not necessarily smoke.
And while we wait for both politicians and public opinion to acknowledge the truths this report has shown to the world, we can always enjoy some good cannabis accessing the website: http://greenhouseseeds.nl/.
