Every Year, a legendary series of events known as the Cannabis Cup, celebrates the best and the brightest of the marijuana industry for their hard work. The series will culminate this year as it does every year, with an event held in Amsterdam. Throughout the three days (Sunday, November 23-Thursday, November 27), various talks will be held featuring prominent members of the activist community like Marc Emery, and of course, the most award winning breeders of all time Arjan and Franco from Green House Seeds.
While the talks cover topics ranging from the most effective activism methods, to cooking with pot lessons, there will also be live music and other entertainment abound. Several of the talks will walk visitors through various stages of the breeding and growing process, and can help even a civilian on the street with no growing experience, churn out some massive buds. Arjan and Franco will be presenting on how to breed the world’s best strains, which will likely be homage to their dedication, vision and industry leading techniques
Judges Will Decide the Best of the Year
Judges night takes place on Wednesday, when all of those who signed up for a judge pass are invited into the prestigious Amsterdam Coffee shops of Amsterdam in order to sample the world’s best strains. Every year growers save the best genetics to show off at the Cannabis Cup in the hopes of being voted into fame and glory by the judges. It begs the question what the Strain Hunters are waiting to unveil just a week from now.
Enjoy More than Just Marijuana
The three day event is a celebration of camaraderie more than marijuana. While pot is the common denominator holding everyone together (perhaps metaphorically and literally,) everyone is there to meet new people and have a good time. Many businesses in the marijuana world will be their showing off their products and offering samples, and for three days, tens of thousands of people will be visiting Amsterdam for one of the best parties of the year: Cannabis Cup Amsterdam.
