Marijuana cream or cannabis cream is basically used as a medicinal ointment and has great therapeutic properties that help to heal various types of diseases and pains that might be bothering you for quite some time. Cannabinoids are known to have analgesic, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties that help to treat skin diseases easily because of the antifungal and antibiotic elements in Cannabinoid acids D9-THC, CBD, CBN, CBC, and CBG.
How does marijuana cream help to heal inflammation?
D9-THCA, CBD, and CBN inhibit keratinocytes hyper proliferation which is responsible for causing inflammatory ailments. Making your own marijuana cream is probably the safest way to heal certain inflammatory diseases and pains.
Ingredients needed for cannabis cream
● Cannabis approx 10 grams
● Unrefined virgin coconut oil 1 cup
● Beeswax 30 grams
● Lavender or any essential oil having aromatic properties
How to prepare?
For preparing the cannabis cream, you will need a baking dish, dipper, jar, spatula, cheesecloth or a fine strainer.
How to make the cream?
To begin with, you have to decarboxylate cannabis. In this process, the THCA (non-psychoactive acid in THC) is transformed into the psychoactive element along with the delta9-tetrahydrocannabinol form, which is related to relieving pains.
This process is equally important in maximizing the bioavailability of the beneficial cannabinoids like CBD. This is also found as CBDA and then transformed to CBD. The cannabinoid acids are strong anti-inflammatories and the raw material or the plant form is rich in vitamins and other nutrients.
Preheat the oven to 225°F and spread the material (grounded material) on baking sheet before placing in the oven.
Allow the material to warm up for 10 minutes or 30 minutes as per the amount of the material that needs to be used.
Decarbed cannabis is usually dark in color but it should not be burnt.
For 10 grams cannabis, 10 minutes or 15 minutes is enough.
This process is mainly applicable for cannabis buds, stems, kief and trim.
As your weed is still in the oven, pour coconut oil in a saucepan and heat it lightly to 310°F.
Avoid going beyond 400°F as that might result in burning off terpenes resulting in the change of aroma and lessening of the medicinal qualities.
Once cannabis is ready, bring it out of the oven and mix it with the coconut oil with a spatula. Let it cook for 20 minutes.
Remove the mixture and strain with cheesecloth to keep the woody elements away from the cannabis cream.
This should be followed by adding 1 part beeswax per 5 parts of Cannabis oil. Heat this entire mixture while using a spatula.
Once you have removed the mixture from heat, you need to introduce the essential oil and finally pour your mixture into a container for storage.
With this, your marijuana ointment is ready to use.
