The senators of Florida have devised plans to commence hashing out most of the laws pertaining to medical cannabis starting from this week onwards.
The state has been looking into and trying to amend the existing law concerned with medical marijuana and currently there have been only 5 bills, which will be competing against one another in the Senate of Florida to become the amendment. The Senate will be conducting a debate on medical cannabis, which will be discussing its pros, cons, the recent researches, and the effect of the cannabis industry on the economy of the United States. The Health Policy Committee that operates under Dana Young, the Senator of Florida will be initiating this debate.
Many researches have successfully concluded that the use of cannabis for medical purposes is much more valuable, safer, and more efficient as compared to the usage of other drugs. Various surveys have indicated that the number of states in the United States that are legalizing the use of medical cannabis is gradually rising.
When the previous elections took place, the voters of Florida were in favor of a vast medical cannabis program for all the suffering patients.
The bigger question is the effect of the amendment of the cannabis medical law in the Florida markets. There are a total of 7 nurseries that are dedicated to the growing, processing, and selling of cannabis for medical purpose. The lawmakers of Florida are amidst a conflict where they are not able to decide whether they should bring about transformations in the system, which already exists or bring about complete transformation and start things over afresh.
Tom Murphy, the Chief Executive Officer of the Gulf Coast Canna Meds, has expressed his desire to contribute to the medical cannabis business and provide his insights for its development and effective usage. Sources have revealed that he will be addressing and speaking to the committee of Health Policy.
He said that the vertical orientation of the market in terms of integration is causing restraint in the business and if the cannabis industry wishes to grow then it will be requiring more licenses and permits. He also added that this has been flying in the faces of almost all the people of Florida and America now when it comes to free enterprise.
The amendment has a deadline to be executed by the month of October.
