Marijuana: A Matter of Sex
Marijuana legalization is gaining momentum in the United States, and this is creating a wave of support all over the globe. People have begun to realize that cannabis can truly be a game changer in their lives. And it’s not only a matter of relaxation and fun: patients who suffer from terrible diseases can live a better life thanks to the magic properties of this wonderful plant. Imagine, for instance, an old woman who has been fighting for years against chronic pain. Thanks to Mrs. Marijuana, she can now win that fight and begin to live again. And what about that man, who suffers from PTSD, or his friend, who is dealing with the first symptoms of Parkinson’s disease? They can both change their life, if they decide to walk down the green-cannabis path. This is no joke.
And still, there is so much we don’t know about cannabis. By the way, when I say “we”, I mean “we people” who live in the post-modern era. In fact, humanity has been using cannabis for centuries, trusting its properties like a traveller trusts its climbing tools. The human race has always had faith in its green, magic ally. But when cannabis became “illegal”, knowing about cannabis also became a quasi-illegal matter.
Fortunately, things are changing. Scientists are now receiving funds to study cannabis and its properties, and almost every day we hear something about a new research here or a new discovery there. It is an exciting moment, and we – pot lovers – are very excited about all this. For instance, I just heard about a new study conducted in Seattle by a team of researchers from the Washington State University. The study demonstrates that males and females are affected differently by the famous THC. Apparently, because of their estrogens levels, female are way more sensitive than men when it comes to the pain-relief qualities of cannabis, and they can also develop tolerance way more quickly.
So, the next time you find yourself on http://greenhouseseeds.nl/, and you are getting ready to buy the right strain of cannabis, make sure you take into consideration this fact as well. Because, apart from the sex-gender-related issues we just talked about, people do react to THC in different ways. Personally, I think this is part of the magic of cannabis, the fact that nobody can really tell you “how it feels”: you just have to try it!
