This week’s statistics of FBI, marijuana arrests have fallen a lot in the last years. The statistics are showing the steady decrease of marijuana dealer’s arrests. In 2014, the number was increased slightly, but in 2015 the graph cut down 8%. The figure took the lowest level of past 20 years. The number didn’t cross to a considerable level and it didn’t happen after 1991. The experts are thinking that marijuana movement that started from 2007 is the cause behind such graph. People have started to the belief that marijuana growers are not criminal, so arrest can’t be their future.

643,121 marijuana growers have arrested in 2015 by the police of the country. FBI says that the number has fallen a lot by following the statistics of 2007. In 2007, 872,720 people were arrested in that year.

The reason of arresting consumers in early 1990’s was not clear. The lift of marijuana use can’t be the reason behind the rush of marijuana arrest. The police did that from early 1990’s to 2007. This affected the marijuana industry and the growers a lot. The percentage of marijuana arrests was 51% among the entire drug arrest. The number has decreased up to 29% after 2007.

King and Mauer noted, the focal point of the battle on drugs was shifted and touched the low level. A study said that 82% augment of drug capture was for marijuana crimes. The percentage has been dropped after 2010. It decreased up to 43% this year. The constant cut off has made this figure. Therefore, the news is changed as well as the scenario for the marijuana industry.

Some jurisdiction says that

  • Police can’t take adults into custody for a small amount of marijuana possessing.

  • The legalized report of Colorado has published that a fixed ounce of marijuana possession shouldn’t pay any penalty.

  • The arrest for marijuana possession has dropped 98% in last few years. The reason is the federal sanction.

  • Oregon has been legalized the marijuana as well. Therefore, the arrested marijuana numbers have dropped from 4,273 in 2014 to 1,129 in2015.

  • In Alaska, the number fell from 716 in 2014 to 290 in 2015.

The figure is same in many other states. Some nations have passed the federal law; hence, the percentage of marijuana capture has decreased nationally. The voting against the criminalization of marijuana growing and possessing was started from 2007. The result is in hand of FBI and other Interpol authority. This decreasing of the graph is steady and the experts think that the scenario would be same for upcoming years.
