Marijuana Rides High Indeed, Nowadays Endorsed By Celebrities!

First it was singer Snoop Dogg and now the renowned song hitmaker Rihanna! One wonders which celebrity will come next though it is certain that many others would follow. Marijuana is becoming as big a star as any. Cleared by authorities in four American states for medical and recreational uses, several concoctions of edibles and beverages, vapes and smokes are profoundly hitting the scene. Age restrictions would apply at 21 years or older though we know the truth that youngsters are making it to the skies too in large numbers and that is a cause of worry.

The MaRihanna story

What lies in a mere name? Well, plenty. The different marijuana strains always benumbed the senses as the weed actually does to the brain. Rihanna has already plunged into business with beauty products and scents but now it is the nether world of cannabis she is attempting. Look at the names and start getting high- Haitian Haze and Caribbean Kush are some vape flavours. Edibles too, concentrates and marijuana flowers for one big bash at resorts and exotic beaches for the high and mighty but restricted to the four states of course where it is all legal.

New Jersey endorses marijuana for kids?

News never ceases to fascinate. Amidst all the fire and smoke concerning marijuana, New Jersey now allows cannabis food products to be given to school children on campus if it is by a parent or guardian. Yet the NJ medical marijuana program is not so successful with few dispensaries and an overwhelming 4000 patients. Legalization would solve the problem and the state is considering that. Perhaps 2016 will tell favourable tales.

Cannabis in Denmark

The Danish black market shows terribly increased levels of THC content. As compared to the 8 to 13 percent range between 2001 and 2011, the recent figures indicate a THC content of 28 percent. Why the tremendous upsurge? Authorities believe the cause is marijuana growing indoors.

The prohibition issue on cannabis

Different cultures, different voices. The world knows that prohibition failed with alcohol and now can it be attempted with cannabis? Cannabis is still illegal in most of the world though medical uses would slowly change policies, but that may take a century. Meanwhile, the different countries have to question their values and traditions and consider if cannabis could be allowed. Muslim countries would certainly opt against it though the voice of medical reason needs to be heard. Some Asian and South American cultures are more liberal towards the wonder weed since some kind of plant-based drugs have been part of their traditions for many centuries.
