Around 130 licensed retail cannabis businesses are reported to be present near Denver in 5-county area, while there are just 3 in Larimer Country, according to the state figures posted recently.
For 13,000 adults, there is just one recreational pot shop, which is licensed within the 5 county areas. It was interesting to note that even if the local marijuana selling shops wouldn’t be able to match the availability of cannabis around Denver, the shops in that area are working hard to bridge the gap.
The city officials had been considering only one retail application, the numerous others were taking out advertisements around that region asserting “coming soon” for recreational sales. The landscape is standing to change quickly with the hype in the city having only one retail shop so far that is opened in Fort Collins. The authorities and business owners know this. The alternatives for organic supplies became the first to be retailing marijuana on June 20th. This was within the Fort Collins area that the owner Steve Ackerman was keeping really busy.
Steve asserted that they were in a very high intensity mode for production than they were before a month. He revamped parts of the warehouse recently with a grow room that is top-of-the-line. One will need sunglasses for stepping into it and new lamps felt closely and acted like sun aiding plant growth.
Ackerman admits that every day he comes for work with a list he wants to do. He wishes to build a series of greenhouses on sustainable production, which culls power already through wind energy.
Earlier this month, the Department of Revenue, Colorado released the 1st cannabis market study. The findings from the examination of cannabis consumption in Colorado say that 130.3 metric tons of pot and related stuffs were in demand mostly bought by the tourists.
In the coming weeks, the 1st sales tax figures are awaited and for the first time showing the financial impact on Northern Colorado. It is suspected by Cristine Romarine that it will tell and she will need part of the action.
The office of the city clerk confirmed that the medical marijuana dispensary will be the next one in line for retail marijuana sales in Fort Collins.
By the end of this year, he could reasonably be among the five retail shops in Larimer County as per the severe licensing process. The faster Fort Collins could get people open for recreational cannabis sales, the faster they will be able to get into the game taking into account tourism and its advantages.
