Various ways to get a Medical Marijuana Card Legally
Marijuana Card is allowed only is some states, also only for the medical purpose. Here are eligible conditions in brief for major states.
Alaska: Allowed in the case of the critical diseases like cancer, HIV etc. Also, it is allowed in case of muscle spasms, nausea etc on the advice of professional and in the condition when there is clear indication of degradation. It may also be allowed in some special cases when it is approved by the department.
Arizona: The list of diseases remains almost the same with the addition of a few more like Hepatitis C, ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), Crohn’s disease etc. Any patient must show the positive report of diagnosis with a debilitating condition for getting access to the medical marijuana card.
California: In California, a person suffering from any one of Chronic pain, Arthritis, AIDS, Severe nausea, Migraine, Cachexia, Cancer, Glaucoma, Anorexia, seizures, Persistent muscle spasms, including spasms associated with multiple sclerosis, AIDS etc qualify for medical marijuana card. If a person shows symptoms of debilitating conditions for some time may also obtain marijuana card.
Colorado: In Colorado the conditions are more stringent and a patient’s suffering from AIDS, Glaucoma, cancer, qualify for marijuana card. Also, people showing symptoms of debilitating diseases may obtain marijuana card if the professional thinks that it can help the patient to overcome the pain or problem.
Connecticut: Patients diagnosed with epilepsy, HIV or AIDS, wasting syndrome, cancer, glaucoma etc may obtain marijuana card. In special cases, the card can be obtained only if Department of Consumer Protection recommends it.
Also, you must be an adult of 18 years or more with a clear record without any crime to obtain the marijuana card.
Delaware: Patients diagnosed with cancer, ALS, debilitating medical conditions, HIV, Crohn’s disease, post-traumatic stress disorder, hepatitis C etc can obtain the marihuana card legally. In Delaware although medical marijuana cards have been released and legalized but the compassions centers are not yet operational for distribution.
Hawaii: Eligible list of diseases are Epilepsy, Cancer, Cachexia, Chronic pain, HIV or AIDs, Crohn’s disease, seizures, Multiple sclerosis and other disorders characterized by muscle spasticity, Nausea, Glaucoma. Special cases must be first approved by Hawaii Department of Health to get marijuana aids.
Maine: People suffering from HIV/AIDS, Cachexia or wasting syndrome, Glaucoma, Cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, Hepatitis C, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease), Crohn’s disease, Nail-patella syndrome etc qualify for marijuana card. For treatment of pain in case of patients not showing any signs of improvement for at least 6 months may get marijuana card aids.
