So you have decided to live it up by eating and drinking cannabis? That should be great fun as long as it is legal and cannabis is not misused, not bought with stolen money and you are 21 or older. The advantages center on not having to inhale smoke though the impact is slower but stronger when eaten. Besides, recipes are a cool way of enjoying the high in community surroundings.
The butter and oil fantasy
Butter and oil with cannabis ingredients are available or you could make your own. Nothing like the home made stuff, right? Whether making cannabutter or cannaoil, follow basically the same procedure starting with boiling water. The addition of butter or oil comes later. After adding the weed, intense boiling is avoided but only simmering will do. When the marijuana is added, the oil or butter absorbs the THC. Which oil to use? Maybe olive oil or canola oil would suit the purpose best. The proportions of ingredients would decide the potency of the finished product. One ounce of marijuana would suit 2 cups of oil or two sticks of butter. Cooking would continue three hours until a thick paste ensues. After the heating is done, strain the mixture through cheesecloth. Store it in the fridge after cooling. Use the oil and butter as you normally would to make them part of cannabis recipes.
Granola bars, nuts, chocolate, cranberries, ginger?
Lots of combinations are possible and they all taste yummy, the only difference being the weedy constituent. Eat them with ice cream if you wish. A treat for the fraternity but let people know what the constituents are. To bake granola bars, the oven is preheated to 325 degrees. Mix all the stuff you have gathered in a large mixing bowl. Along with flour and baking soda would be mixed coconut oil spray, vanilla extract, melted cannabutter, honey, sugar and oatmeal along with walnuts and raisins perhaps. Proportions would vary. Bake for thirty minutes and let it cool before eating.
Go for iced cannabis tea or coffee too!
Why should you eat it all the time? Somebody in the group may fall for the beverage. Condensed milk and the cannabutter would be used. Firstly immerse the tea bags in boiling water and let it soak for five minutes. Coffee may be substituted as well. Remove the tea bags now and let it cool. In another bowl mix the cannabutter and the condensed milk. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour in the tea first and then the cannabutter condensed milk mixture. Stir as you drink since the heavier stuff descends to the bottom of the glass.
