Growing Legal Marijuana And The Intense Water Wars In California

Some Asian countries are lucky where marijuana grows wild and uncontrollable, filling up the hills and forests with the starry plant that people globally die for. Yet strangely enough the laws do not allow trade in wild marijuana countries like Bhutan in the Himalayas. Just imagine the revenues lost due to some stupid laws, yet the international scenario is rapidly changing just like with gay marriages.

The compulsory water deal

In the USA, medical marijuana is now legal in both California and Texas, but what about the water facility for growing the wonder weed? While it is true that Texas witnessed record rainfall this year and is believed to be no more a drought stricken state, care is needed. California is traditionally a dry tool with water facilities reduced to a minimum. The irony is that while the millions can be feasibly made by enterprising businesses, the water shortage could be a mighty stumbling block. Depletion of scarce water resources could negatively affect natural water sources and result in destroying aquatic life.

Illegal water sources maybe

In California nowadays all you need is a prescription signed by a doctor to procure seedlings of marijuana after which they would legally grow them. What you witness are greenhouses off the highways that trade in them and the business is bound to get bigger all right, water or no water! Devious means can always be resorted to. After all, everything is fair in love and war besides business.

How times change!

We can’t help wondering how times and policies change. After all the decades of of the vilified marijuana when it was considered the devil’s work, phoenix like the wonder plant rises from its own ashes. The medical applications are believed to be endless from epilepsy to diabetes and mental conditions of depression. Some people say that the authorities knew the good qualities all along, but maybe adequate research was not conducted.

Immense marijuana profits wait

The Emerald Triangle runs through Humboldt, Mendocino and Trinity Counties. The cannabis business, there booms. Recreational cannabis is not yet legal though all it requires is a signature and that may happen soon enough. Yet profits decide the investment and the returns on cannabis growing may touch the skies as many entrepreneurs know well enough. What other business could deliver the same incomes? Stealing water from streams may be unethical, but demand requires supply one way or the other. Illegal water usage needs to be cracked down upon too, and marijuana growers are the new villains. Just imagine growing cannabis like vegetables!
