In the last few decades, cannabis-infused tea has become a popular beverage in several restaurants around the globe. With its lip-smacking taste and aromatic flavors, Cannabis tea truly echoes mystery and magic in every sip. Studies indicate that cannabis tea features a wide number of health benefits such as reducing pain, improving circulation, treating mental disorders, alleviating stress and anxiety, and so on. So, now that we know that the benefits of cannabis-infused tea are endless, how about making it at home during the quarantine days?

So here we go:

• Ingredients

◦ Cannabis buds – 1 gram
◦ Dried marijuana leaves – 1 gram (Optional)
◦ Coconut oil, butter or other fat – 3 tablespoon
◦ Water – 1 ½ cups
◦ Tea ball or a tea bag for filling buds/leaves.
◦ Sugar cubes or honey – Optional

• Instructions

1. Separate the stems of the cannabis from the buds properly. Now, finely grind the cannabis leaves or buds by chopping them into pieces. Make sure you don’t convert the marijuana granules into a fine powder.

2. Once grinding is done, apply coconut oil or butter on the chopped marijuana buds or leaves. Maintain the right balance between butter and buds so that the cannabinoid is activated properly. The idea here is to just coat a layer of butter on the buds and not to marinate it.

3. Just like the regular tea dip, we have to make a marijuana dip as well. Tear the opening of the new/existing tea dip and stuff it with cannabis and butter mixture. In case you don’t have a tea bag, you can also use metal/steel tea balls.

4. Fill 1 ½ cup of water in the tea making container and boil it on the medium heat.

5. Once the water is boiled, dip the filled tea ball/ teabag and simmer it for at least half an hour. As an add-on, punch in your favorite tea flavors or milk as the process reaches its final few minutes.

6. Once you are done simmering the solution, remove the teaball/teabag and allow the solution to cool down.

7. And, look your cannabis-infused tea is ready to serve! You can also add sugar or honey for satisfying the sweet spot on your taste bud.
Apart from providing comfort and relief, cannabis-infused tea will have a longer-lasting effect than smoked weed. So, what are you waiting for? Brew yourself a cup of cannabis tea and make your quarantine days interesting.
