Stoned and Cooked: Marijuana in the kitchen

They are delicious and you’ll have a lot of fun with them.

Crispy Chops

8 slices of beef, 2 eggs, flour and breadcrumbs, olive oil, pepper, and salt, 1 knob of butter, 10 anchovy fillets, 1 tablespoon of chopped olives and capers, 1 lemon, 3 grams of cannabis.

Tenderize the meat. Then, follow these steps for each and every slice of beef:

1 – Flour the slice;
2 – Dip the floured slice into the egg mixture (just scramble the 2 eggs in a bowl);
3 – Bread the slice.

Meanwhile, heat up some oil in a frying pan. When the oil is hot, brown the floured/breaded slices of beef. Once they are ready, let them rest on some paper towel – the paper towel will absorb some of the extra oil. Now, heat up the butter and mix it with 3 grams of chopped cannabis. Pour the “stoned” hot butter over the chops and add the anchovies, the olives and the capers. Serve with lemon wedges.

Singing Fish

4 fishes, medium-sized, deboned and eviscerated, 2 tablespoons of butter, 3 tablespoons of lemon juice, salt and pepper, 3 grams of cannabis.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Mix the butter (keep it at room temperature for a couple of hours before doing this) with salt, pepper, lemon and cannabis. Pour the buttery mix in the belly of your fishes. Then, place each fish on a single sheet of parchment paper. Before baking them “al cartoccio” (in parchment paper), brush the fishes with oil and salt. Bake for about 20 minutes.

Spiced Cookies

1/2 kilo of flour, 200 grams of sugar, 300 grams of butter, 6 egg yolks, the zest of 1 lemon, 25 g of chopped cannabis.

Soften the butter and mix it with the cannabis. Mix the flour with the “stoned” butter plus eggs, sugar and lemon zest. Knead the dough and wrap it in some plastic film. Let it rest for 30 minutes in a cool place. Stretch the dough with a rolling pin, cut out the cookies (you can choose your favorite shape) and bake them at 180 degrees.
